Tim Green is the founder of Slope Stability Southwest and a highly accomplished Chartered Engineering Geologist (CGeol) with a robust track record spanning over twenty years.
Tim Green is the founder and principal geologist. He is a Chartered Engineering Geologist (CGeol)—the highest professional standard awarded to geologists who are proven experts in their field and adhere to strict ethical codes. This means when you hire Tim, you are hiring an expert who is vetted, highly experienced, and qualified to officially sign off on critical stability reports needed for mortgages and conveyancing. He holds an advanced Master’s Degree (MSc) and is a Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS), confirming his decades of commitment to the science.
Cornwall Roots, Locally Focused
While Tim’s career has taken him around the world, since 2015, he has been permanently based with his young family on the stunning North Coast of Cornwall. For years, he specialized in local projects, providing expert slope and cliff stability assessments and geotechnical consultancy through a local Camborne firm.
In 2023, Tim branched out to work independently, leading to the creation of Slope Stability Southwest. The company was born out of a desire to combine his deep geological expertise with a fast, focused, and cost-effective local service for homeowners, buyers, and property professionals across the Southwest.
A Genuine Part of the Cornish Community
When Tim isn’t scrambling over the rugged Cornish coastline for an assessment, he is a genuine part of the local community. He is a keen rugby coach and is heavily involved with the Perranporth Club, coaching the U9s-10s and the U11s – U12s Sirens Girls team. He also embraces the coastal lifestyle—you’ll often find him surfing, swimming in the sea, or cycling the local routes.
